After which he was venerated has Saint Edwin.

Edwin was baptized in Eforwic in 627 A.D during his lifetime he became the leading Anglo Saxon King in England and was recognised in Britain as the leading overlord known as Bretwalda.

Anglo Saxon Eforwic was an English powerbase it became a target for the Viking raiders and when in later times it fell to thw new Viking settlers in Britain it was renamed Jorvik it became an Anglo Danish city.
